Traditional school safety is built on a "See Something, Say Something" model. While vital, this approach is inherently reactive—it depends on a student making a threat or a teacher noticing a crisis already in progress.

At SBTAM, we do things differently. We lead with the screener.

Our approach centers on the FOCUS engine, a universal adaptive assessment that identifies risk factors before they manifest as threats. By moving the timeline "to the left," we transition from investigating crises to preventing them.

• Screener-Led Identification: We replace guesswork with data. By screening every student, we identify the "silent" 22% who are typically missed by referral-only systems.

• Adaptive Triage: We respect the time of educators. Our system uses branching logic to provide 100% student coverage while focusing clinical resources only on the students who trigger specific risk thresholds.

• Support-First Management: Threat assessment shouldn't be a disciplinary dead-end. Our framework bridges the gap between safety and wellness, integrating directly into MTSS and PBIS to provide students with the support they need to stay safe and stay in school.
